Useful Information

Our Garages should be erected onto a permanent concrete base, which should be of a good thickness. The overall thickness will depend on the local ground conditions, but generally, 4 inch of concrete is about average.

The base should be square and at least 6 inch longer and wider than the external measurement of the proposed building. Generally, the base should be higher than the surrounding area thus preventing water from running onto the base and working its way under the panels. Even having sand and cement fillet on the inside is not a guarantee against this happening.

Remember, when choosing a garage door, it is important to remember that the door size is not the same as the drive-through size. Also, whilst in most cases, planning permission is not required, it is advisable to seek further clarification from your local planning office.

Concrete Sheds

Concrete Sheds are designed for those with limited garden space and are ideal for locking up your garden tools and children’s toys etc. (especially during the winter months).

The standard concrete shed generally consists of concrete panels to the sides and rear with the frontage made mainly in timber. Whilst this gives the shed a more pleasing look, it also enables the customer to design the front to their specific needs (such as a bigger entrance door for example). The doors are generally made up using matchboard approx. one inch thick along with good heavy duty book-band hinges (not T hinges).
